Logbook Service
The Lakes Mobile Mechanics is authorised to maintain your new car & manufacturer’s warranty. Our technicians are provided with regular training to make sure they are kept abreast of all the latest updates in the car repair industry & the latest repair methods.
It’s a very common belief among many Australians that to maintain a new vehicle warranty the vehicle must be serviced by the car dealership, this is absolutely not true. In fact the ACCC has reiterated several times and confirmed that under Australian law you are free to have your car serviced by any mechanic who is suitably qualified to do so.
Your vehicle log book specifically provides information to a qualified mechanic on recommended service requirements. This includes making sure that all parts and lubricants that are replaced either meet or exceed the specifications of the original vehicle manufacturer.
Some motor vehicle log books will have wording included that suggest they need to be stamped by an authorised dealer, however as long as the vehicle service is completed & your logbook is stamped by our qualified mechanical team, your new vehicle warranty will remain intact.
Our Logbook Servicing includes servicing vehicle as per log book: use approved parts, replace oil and filter, clean M.A.F sensor (air flow sensor), top-up all fluid levels, clean air filter and air filter box as required, adjust all belts and handbrake as necessary, check and adjust tyre pressures to 38PSI for best performance, check all lights and carry out suspension check, and complete a full inspection of the vehicle.
Minor Service
The Lakes Mobile Mechanics are specialists in providing Ipswich residents with minor car servicing. Depending on your vehicle minor car services are generally carried out every 10,000 to 15,000 kms and they are generally quicker than a major service.
Even though the minor service is much cheaper than a major service, it forms an essential part of maintaining your vehicle & making sure everyone who rides in the vehicle is kept safe. During the minor service, we perform a very thorough inspection of all vehicle components, and this can often lead to us identifying mechanical & safety issues before they become a much bigger problem.
Our team has the ability to come to your location and perform your minor vehicle service at your convenience anywhere in the Ipswich or Brisbane West area. Should your car require any further repairs or if we encounter any other issues during your car service, we will always communicate these issues and obtain your approval before proceeding with other car repairs.

From $165 inc GST within a 10km radius of Springfield Lakes, we can advise you if the car is not what it seems and can save you a lot of money in the future (outside this area may incur a small travel fee).
Quoting
Please note we do NOT charge a call out fee. We will check over your vehicle for $132 (hourly rate) to determine what needs to be fixed. If we can fix it in the first hour, then you pay no more than $132. If however, the repair or fault is going to take longer or you need parts we will inform you along the way with a quote. This way there are no surprises at the completion of the job.
